I recently learned that NTSB data shows that backing in is much, much safer because pulling in creates inherent blind spots and is the cause of many accidents. Also professional drivers are taught to back in for the same reasons. So the driving “experts” are staunchly pro-backing in.

A nihilistic take, maybe, but I think it’s a grounded one when you look at how they operate. I think this is more true the higher up you go in level of election. It’s less true of local politicians.

The new school thing is to start baby led weaning with purées at 4 months. We did that with our daughter and she has turned into a great little eater and has never had any issues with choking or gagging after some initial, inevitable occurrences.

Nothing will happen. Politicians pretend to care about our concerns just enough to get elected or stay in office. They’re only actually beholden to their donors. That’s their real agenda. Electoral politics are an illusion.

This is a reductive and ahistorical take on Chamberlain. He’s vilified in hindsight and is easy to knock via a modern lens, but what you’re disregarding is that the world then had collective PTSD from the deadliest and largest war in human history and no one had the appetite for picking fights.
