Here’s a lesson my great great grandmother taught me.

When I was four years old my great great grandmother would make me laugh by flexing her arm— showing off a ping pong ball of a bicep and an acre of sagging skin underneath it. 🧵

Before my autism diagnosis I thought I just got sick a lot. Autistic overloads can cause my body temperature to rise so I always thought the shaking, fatigue, etc was just because I was sick with fever. 🧵

Autistic shutdowns are such a surreal experience. I made a video about how speech can be affected, but there are many other skills that can diminish/ shut off for me it’s anything in this chart. So today it was motor skills/coordination and I couldn’t walk without help.🧵1/3
