I see the “technically it’s ephebophelia” crowd is out today, so just a reminder that A) this is NOT a case where technically correct is the best kind of correct and B) the minute you say this, the gods dump you in the “irredeemable creeper” basket and wash their hands thoroughly after touching you.

Guilty until proven innocent, is an especially bad policy if the defendant is dead before the trial starts.
VAN SUSTEREN: Can we certain that we're not getting innocent people?

McCORMICK: We are certain

VAN SUSTEREN: But have we? Can you say with certainly we haven't hit innocents?

McCORMICK: Unless somebody has information to the contrary, we are as careful about this as anything we do

Trying to launder pedophilia like this is disgusting. Yes, surely the younger the age the more horrific it is, but in no humane world is a a man who has sex with a 15 year old not a pedophile.

And the culture that portrays and sensationalizes children as ‘barely legal’ like that is deeply sick.
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."

Rule of thumb: if Roger Romanelli is leading a charge, do the opposite.

For over a decade he has been a disingenuous outside agitator advocating for undermining street safety and transit usage at every turn on the NW side while living in the western suburbs.
Some Business Owners Want 'Compromise' Version Of Grand Avenue Bike Lane Project
One group wants to see protected bike lanes on the corridor scrapped in favor of bus lanes with bike access. But bike safety advocates and the city want to stick to the original plan.

With current pledges, the world's on track for 2.6°C of warming in 2100 compared to preindustrial levels.

10 years ago, before the Paris agreement, it was 3.6°C

20+ years ago, we thought it would be 4-5°C

So 2.6°C is better, but the problem is that climate impacts are way worse than we predicted.
World still on track for catastrophic 2.6C temperature rise, report finds

pretty funny in retrospect that QAnon hinged on the idea that powerful elites at the highest levels of government were smart enough to talk in code when sending emails to each other about their despicable crimes

Since this administration loves to charge people with making false statements (see, e.g., Comey, James), I assume they will be charging Maxwell for lying to Blanche and the FBI agents who interviewed her, right?
Ghislaine Maxwell lied about Trump never going to Epstein's house (directly contradicted by her email correspondence with Epstein), and she was rewarded for that lie with a transfer to a cushier prison. The coverup is happening in plain sight.

The Department of Homeland Security collected data on Chicago residents accused of gang ties to test if police files could feed an FBI watchlist. Months passed before anyone noticed it wasn’t deleted.

Admitting that you’re using the Situation Room for personal image damage control is an amazing admission of thin skin.

Like galaxy brain levels of “don’t put it in the paper that I’m mad”
Q: "Why are White House officials…meeting with Rep. Boebert in an effort to try to get her to not sign this petition calling for the release of the [Epstein] files?"

Leavitt: "I'm not going to detail conversations that took place in the situation room."
