To kiss someone and feel myself fall for them. To be able to help the people who I've come to care for. To make mistakes and actually recover from them instead of wallowing. To look back and prove that I actually could pull myself out of this hole.

I just wanna be a person, instead of this shadow.

I know the feeling. It becomes exhausting to put so much effort into reaching out to people, and feels wasted when no one reaches back. But just randomly messaging someone feels strange to me, like showing up to a stranger's front door. I guess I need some kind of invite or reason to say hi.
