On my last night as MP, I thank Jack Layton for inspiring me to run for public office.

There’s a phenomenon when a person becomes passionate about nature as an adult and realizes there is more to learn than they’ll ever know, about birds, plants, rocks, etc etc, called the “wall of grief”, which is why I stick to fungi, so I can concentrate on how I’ll never know all the mushrooms
