Starting my new career in Vietnam am at the Turtle Rescue Centre in Cuc Phuong so today in nature I saw a bunch of chelonia! First bird heard in Vietnam was the red whiskered bulbul, and first seen was the mountain tailor bird. Here's a lovely mural on a wall of the centre. #turtles

I have just spent a long time travelling and indoors, but I did appreciate these hills around Hong Kong airport for today in nature.

I spent today packing, cleaning, and on a train to London so not much seen nature wise sadly. Until I got to the hotel in the airport and saw they had actual real plants! So many hotels and restaurants even with food light go for fake plants, it's a very big peeve of mine.

Today in nature isn't so much nature and more something to help benefit the animals at my next job. Supplements! All the rest are packed but enough to fill half my suitcase in total!

Today in nature is art of an owl I saw in Leeds market. Owls are a symbol of Leeds so motifs of them are found throughout the city. I do like how animals can inspire people and be these strong cultural symbols. #birds

I didn't post this frpm yesterday.. not quite today in nature but yesterday in nature, as an alternative to the aviary post earlier. A pipefish which had been beached. We popped it into a rock pool. I imagine a gull still got it.

Not much in nature today as I deal with being back in the office and the immense cold. At work sadly one of the aviaries collapsed in the snow.

Today in nature was even more eiders! Many eiders! I was in heaven. There were some grey seals too but they're kinda whatever compared to this Amazing duck. Phenomenal day. When on a boat trip from seahouses and saw the birds all around the farne islands, the pic is from the harbour. #birds

After falling on ice yesterday, I decided I would do feck all today, so here's another pigeon from yesterday - golden heart dove. #birds

Todays day in nature I visited Chester zoo with a friend to meet up with another friend. There were a number of highlights, these emerald doves enjoying the spray from the waterfall being one of them. #birds

You can just about make out in the pic, but today my nature highlight was seeing the flock at work flying over during the sun rise. They usually stick around until a bit later, but perhaps the cold night made them particularly hungry! #birds #birdwatching

Starting the year reminiscent of the highlights over the past few years. In 2023 I got to see Maleo at a nesting ground on a beach in Sulawesi. #birds #birdwatching
