The two-child benefit cap was a totem of 14 years of failed ideology. Now it is gone, says Lucy Powell MP, deputy leader of the Labour party

Labour are implementing policies which are changing people's lives for the better.

Fair, honest, workable and realistic policies. Which are deliverable and make that required differences.

Not false hope. Not empty promises. Not a fantasy generic 'wealth tax'.

But real stuff helping real people.

I don't recall the media ever asking Osbourne's, Hunt's, or Kwarteng's uncles for their opinion on their budgets. This is not journalism; this is misogynistic barrel-scraping that has got to stop. I assume you'll be asking her sister, Ellie, for her opinion next, for the sake of balance, no?

Labour's Budget is for every street in Britain.

👉 Cutting energy bills
👉 Lifting children out of poverty
👉 Rebuilding public services

While our opponents hide behind cheap, divisive politics, we're getting on with the job: changing Britain.

Apparently Labour MP's (unnamed I assume) are very unhappy about the change to the Employment Rights bill, here's a bit of context. This bill is the biggest improvement to employee rights in decades, it's currently stalled. Accepting this change means it will become law in April.

Is it any surprise that the Welsh leader of Reform (former UKIP MEP) having taken money from the Russians, that now they are investigating the Scottish UKIP leader (from that period) for the same offence.
Brexit was what Putin wanted in order to weaken the UK.

Starmer today I think has been strong in his interviews.
To be honest he looks like he doesn’t give a shit what ‘gotchas’ they try,he’s too clever and on his brief.
He looked raging at Rigby and pointed out he’s spoke to her many times about lifting the cap. She’s deaf and still banged on.

Nigel Farage has spent £1m taking out adverts in the papers to distract from the Nathan Gill Russian bribe scandal.

We can't let him buy himself out of this. We need an investigation into Russian influence in our politics.

He will carry on improving Britain with or without your support
At election time it will be up to you to keep the country improving or hand it to parties who have publicly said they will roll everything back labour have done
Think of that

The negative reaction from our right wing media + newspapers to a budget that was carefully planned + implemented to help Britain recover from 14 years of austerity and Tory mess while asking for money in a fair way from people in this country is laughable. So obviously biased against a Labour Govt.

All the people screaming at how awful the budget is… as the markets and pound rally behind it, as children are taken out of poverty, wages and pensions increased…

Funny how the complete narrative is set by so very few and even more so how many millions believe it.
