Alternatively, a really common failure mode (both for corp & indie OSS) seems to be this (stolen from www.youtube.com/watch?v=oB-v... ).
If I'm missing something, I'd love to know, though. So far, our best bet is to try to persuade governments to fund FOSS maint as a public good from taxpayer money
