I am now here at the University of Exeter as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with @ffnplus.bsky.social, working on the environmental impacts of textiles.

Textiles are a major source of #microfibre and other environmental #pollutants and this project is working with industry to reduce impacts.

For my MSc Freshwater and Marine Ecology at QMUL, with @joostraeymaekers.bsky.social I looked at how #eutrophication impacts #parasite community and population genetics in Belgian Threespine stickleback.

Water quality and parasite diversity metrics were related but genetic signatures were absent.

Since I've been here now for a week, I wanted to introduce myself and my research. Please feel free to add me to any lists/packs.

I'm Ben, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Exeter, and my research focusses on the single and combined effects of aquatic stressors.
