Thanks to the efforts of the Miami Area Local, the mayor of Miami-Dade County, Daniella Levine Cava, recently signed a proclamation recognizing the essential public services of the USPS and celebrated Sept. 24 as Miami-Dade's "250th Anniversary of the U.S. Postal Service Day!"

The second Cost-of-Living Adjustment under the 2024-2027 contract for APWU-represented employees is in paychecks today. That means $811 MORE per year for full-time career workers. Thanks to our twice-a-year COLAs alone, career postal workers’ pay has risen by $1,206 more per year.
