Admittedly this was only a section of wider coverage, but my eyes rolled the other day at "Russia-Ukraine deal: what you need to know in under 200 words" or something similar. Tryinf to make a virtue of superficiality and lack of actual explanation (no need to admit it!) but also: who is this for?!

My guess would be that even those most keen on rational actor models still wouldn't argue that this is how we actually *think* or experience the world - to reduce love and partnership to a utility function and "investment" is to dehumanise, even if that makes sense as a *model*
