A paycheck's a paycheck, but anyone writing a story headlined "X Is Too Costly Even for People Making $300,000" really needs to reflect on their priorities. No one should care about what people making $300K can't "afford".

Top Colleges Are Too Costly Even for Parents Making $300,000
Many families have incomes that are too high to qualify for meaningful aid but too low to afford to pay out of pocket.

i keep coming back to this. the fight could be to restore the constitutional order, but it was already broken in a third republic way. if the project of govt is to build, it's easier (albeit riskier) with a strong unburdened executive.
one of the benefits of accepting that the constitution has not been in effect for the past month and being honest with ourselves about whether it comes out of abeyance is that it opens up all sorts of possibilities for reform if you ever retake power by simply…leaving it in abeyance

NYPost level fearmongering by Bloomberg.

How bad are the subways? Well, if you stick until the 24th paragraph, you learn that "crime on the subway as a percentage of rides is still extremely rare."

But even that gets watered down!

Here are some ways schools could prepare students for the workplace:

* layoff 1/3 of the class for efficiency
* have 6 meetings each day to determine homework
* teacher changes each assignment 3 times after giving it
* students prepare weekly status reports for the principal (who doesn't read them)
Some terminal Ted Talk Brain in the NYT today:
If it's true that millions of young people is not prepared for the workforce, we're probably going to need a more meaningful solution than teachers slightly changing the phrasing of their classroom instruction.
