If you grew up around a Dark Triad (my mother was one), none of this is surprising. Infuriating, makes me feel helpless...but not surprising.
I would say I'm surprised its bad habits haven't gotten the best of it, but lots of these SOBs seem to live a lot longer than healthy people.
