many, many years ago I talked my mom (in AZ) into investing in solar panels, when there some great federal rebates available. zero install fee. every year since then her annual electric bill has been net $0 or less. it's a good feeling.
Solar’s price drop is astonishing: panels are now 98% cheaper than when I first analyzed them in 2004.
Today, building a fence with solar can be cheaper than using wood.

I haven't been involved in (which I've learned is what sports people say to mean "I haven't watched") the last season of Battlebots, but the trend of low fingers paired with vertical disc spinners is just boring as shit. it's a race to the low ground with the best disc speed/weight ratio. no design.
