A joy and a pleasure to reminisce about my @travwriters.bsky.social trip to Sri Lanka in the Sri Lankan High Commission, and to hear about fellow members' memorable experiences.

Just noticed how amazing those flowers are!

Still can't quite believe that I touched the ACTUAL 1988 JAMAICAN BOBSLED. Pinching myself. Other parts of Calgary also really lovely, particularly the riverside.

Don't you just hate it when you're enjoying a nice quiet time at the waterpark then realise a murderous dictator has sat down to judge your waterslide technique?

Kinda surreal watching this cycle race going through Coal Drop's Yard in King's Cross. Racers have 55 mins to complete as many laps as possible

This is terribly sad news for Blatten and the Lötschental valley. It looks as those these historic buildings and the Tschäggättä mask maker's shop have been lost.

Although the @mountains-magazine.com Kickstarter continues to fail miserably I'm still very excited about the magazine, not least because I've now received Austin Madinga's Zomba Plateau story (currently being edited and added to Issue #1)

I'm currently in Sri Lanka for @mountains-magazine.com. There's been white water rafting, hiking on chilly mountains and peering through bushes at majestic elephants. Everywhere I go I'm met with pure kindness and welcoming smiles. #srilanka #SriLankaTourism #visitsrilanka #travwriters

It must have been fascinating to watch it slowly come together. It was interesting to see it being constructed on the one day I visited, many years ago

Visited Libraria on Independent Bookstore Day and it's definitely getting added to my Favourite London Bookstore list. Bought a tantalising magical realism book that I'm looking forward to tucking in to

While I sit on an indefinitely delayed train back to London (currently 20 mins late and probably an hour away still, gotta love British railways) I'll be transporting myself back to this remote Lake District waterfall I walked to earlier.
