Former sports writer and not missing that life at all. Asthmatic so bad that I might be allergic to air. Pets: Punky (dog in the avitar), Shadow (cat), Mister (cat) and Gizmo (dog).
Pro sports developed in Canada first. With the exception of baseball, college sports developed first in the US. The NFL didn't exist until 1920 and the leagues that led to the NBA weren't started until the late 1940s.

The Argos, Ti-Cats and Riders are older than any NFL team.

This guy was a fucking doctor. If he was as bad as that as he is in Congress, there have to be graveyards full of his patients who died prematurely.

Fortunately, that game isn't on in my area. Unfortunately, he appeared on RedZone and I noped right out of that channel for the rest of the night.

Getting reported. Getting blocked. Fuck you.

And the Bears were like, "Nah, we good."

It's just terrible kerning. If you're paying attention, you can correct it, but I can also see why that slips through.

Nice to hear. It's difficult to sort out the noise. I was more worried about my parents than me. *Maybe* I could do *some* kind of work, but my going-on-80 parents don't deserve this shit.

I picked up Tua and he balled out, so that was cool.

But at the same time, several other of my backups that I was forced to play had great games. I had to put Tony Pollard in as my flex and he went nuts.

As it turns out, I'd have still won this week's game without a QB at all.

Kansas, here. It's going to very difficult to convince me my vote for president means anything ever again.

Even in local elections, damn near everything up for election was a race between a Republican and ... no one. The Democrats didn't even try.

If they enact enough in the first two years and we luck out and avoid great damage, then fine. But if they go scorched earth, there won't be enough people left to make a blue wave happen.

Me, for instance. Without disability and Medicare, I could be dead by 2026.

Is there a place where you can look up the size of each MLS field? Just estimating here, but it looks like Soldier Field would be about 122x70.

That, if anything, could be what thwarts their plans. Those majorities are just slim enough. Not everything will be unanimous among all Republicans.

Then if a couple of extra seats are turned blue in 2026, Trump gets a Congress he can't or won't work with and he becomes a lame duck two years early.

There can be differences. Professional fields can be as small as 100x50 yards to as large as 130x100.

This is what US soccer fans are talking about when they say "soccer specific" stadium. Playing at an NFL stadium likely means playing on a shorter, narrower pitch.

... hope no one noticed so I can get him back next week.

Ruined my fantasy team for this week. I drafted Purdy mostly so I'd have him for this week, which is Buffalo's bye week.

So I had to get another QB but I didn't want to drop Purdy so someone else could use him against me later. So I dropped Kyle Pitts and ...
