For sure. I know quite a few of his donors, professionally. It’s been a brutal week on Wall Street. If today they suffered another massive sell-off, the probability of a crash next week was exceedingly high. Still a real possibility. Yet, he chose them over us. Unreal.

I don’t understand why people keep pointing to the things that Trump is doing & protesting that these things are illegal like Trump doesn’t have power over the legal system. Why would he care? When has that stopped him? More importantly, what are we going to do about it since the law has failed?

A lesson from 3+ decades working on criminal justice reform is that the system gains undeserved legitimacy by pretending making something "illegal" will stop it. The real world is much more complicated. Unreasonable searches are banned by the 4th Amdt, for example, but they happen every day. 1/2
