7. Prior to Garlemald's invasion, Anye had an idyllic childhood playing on the rain-soaked docks of Ala Arghyl. She joined her parents for tavern singalongs, studied music, writing, & history with her dad, and learned fighting and the old Velodyne language from her mom. She loved every moment of it.

6. Anye predominantly dresses in black, with highlights of white or dark reds, greens, purples, or blues. This is mostly due to her player being a goth girlie with limited fashion sense.

Anye is also highly fond of skirts, long boots, and fashionable coats. And the aforementioned hair corsage.

5. Anye is loud, cheerful, generous, and a little hedonistic by nature. She loves life and loves people, and is always eager to spread positivity & love. As a result, she can also be quite protective, and will always jump at the chance to help someone in need.

4. Anye is in her early-mid 30s. I don't put a precise number on it, both for logistical reasons involved in RPing in an MMO, and for the fact that her life story is tied to major canon events and I like to have some wiggle room in case I make a lore oopsie.

3. Being a highlezen, Anye combines the sharp facial features of a highlander with the elegant figure and pointed ears of an elezen. She is also seldom seen without a floral corsage in her hair, which she wears for strong sentimental reasons, and as a great hiding place for cigarettes and notes.

2. Anye is half Velodyne highlander and half Ishgardian elezen. Her lore-accurate in-game job would be Gunbreaker, though she's also becoming an accomplished Red Mage. In rediscovering her Velodyne heritage, she's also picking up something superficially similar to Astrologian.

1. Anye Vael. She has her mother's surname instead of her father's at her father's request, as he did not want to burden her with the weight of the Ishgardian nobility that he so disdained and had abandoned.
