V good letter in The Guardian on Labour’s flailing hopelessness in the face of Reform.
Come on, Labour. The country is crying out for better. We’re sick of this ugly rightwing agenda. It brings nothing but failure.
It’s disloyal to your voters and to the country. You’ve got power and time. Use them.

Immigration is not the problem it’s now widely believed to be.
Brexit is much more of a problem than it’s reported to be.
So how can govt achieve growth, fix public svcs and deal with the cost of living if fear of Reform means it won’t be honest with us about these 2 elephants in the room?
It can’t.

This is what a rigged economy looks like:

In the 1970s, CEOs made 27 times more than the average worker.

In the 1980s, CEOs made 48 times more than the average worker.

This decade, CEOs are making 354 times more than the average worker.

That has got to change.

The thing about Brexit is: it isn’t done and never will be. Brexit is wrecking ball — it’s wrecking lives from cancer care to farming and food. Every year we tolerate it, the damage grows.

We need to debrexit Britain — with urgency.

It's worse than just a corrupted referendum. It was interfered with by Russia, which carried out much of the social media disinformation campaign and channeled illegal funds to the Leave campaigns. Russia's interference was hostile: it had much to gain from harming the UK by causing it to leave EU.
Also - because it was a CORRUPTED referendum!! Why does that count for NOTHING? This was known by MI5/6 soon after the 6/2016 - and duly reported - so WHY have the Tories + Labour gone along with it?
In other countries the result would’ve been scrapped and the vote rerun.
Not here!! 🤬

“Going backwards on Brexit” means what exactly?
Nearly 10yrs on from an absurdly simplistic referendum, lumbered with a Brexit shitshow and Trump creating merry hell, we must improve our relationship(and trade)with the EU. Urgently.
Not being honest about that is the most backward thing imaginable.
Asked whether Trump's trade war means the UK will now consider re-entering a customs union with the EU, Keir Starmer's spokesman replies that "we're not going backwards when it comes to Brexit"
