Email #1: Jeff Epstein says he "gave" a 20-year old girl to Trump
Email #2: Epstein says Trump "knew about the girls" he was recruiting at Mara Lago for his pedophile ring and Trump never reported it.
Email #3: Epstein says an underage victim "spent hours" at Epstein's house with Trump

Whenever Ken Starr returns to the news, it's fun to remember that one deputy investigating Bill Clinton (and Vice Foster) was ... Brett Kavanaugh!

Extra fun to remember that GWBush FL Recount team in 2000 included Brett K, J Roberts, AC Barrett.

Plus help from FL gov Jeb Bush. Good times!
Ken Starr emailing with Epstein in 2018 is a really interesting thing to learn about!!!!!!

The GOP’s coalition is holding on by a bare thread and when Trump is gone it will fall apart. Our task (and it’s not easy!) is to build a Democratic Party capable of picking up the pieces.

Another revelation from all of these emails is that many of the richest and most powerful people in the country absolutely cannot write. Helps explain their sweaty embrace of LLMs.

a lot has been written about how elected republicans are no longer the people who use right wing media to rile up the base, they are the most rabid consumers of that media themselves

sometimes that has very funny results

The fact that Trump and his lackeys are using the Situation Room to figure out how not to release the Epstein files should be THE headline in tomorrow's NYT.

we have an elite impunity problem and a lot of the people and institutions that nominally oppose Trump will burn down their own before admitting that this helped produce him
I've said it many times before and Andrew Cuomo is making me say it again: we don't have a cancellation problem. We have never had a cancellation problem. To the contrary, we have a problem that "disgrace" is a very temporary embarrassment— an brief entr'acte more than an intermission.

the only thing democrats should be saying today is “the entire republican party is engaged in a coverup of the most notorious child sex trafficking ring in world history”

NEW: Dems easily flipped the sheriff's office in Pennsylvania's Bucks County, a big swing county in the Philly suburbs.

So? The incumbent GOP sheriff had contracted with ICE. His Dem challenger promised to end the contract.

Now he wants other swing-state Dems to look at his victory as a lesson:

A populous, swing county replaced its GOP sheriff on Tuesday after months of controversy over his joining ICE’s 287(g) program. The Democratic winner promises he’ll end the contract.

We should start by taking healthcare away from Republican members of Congress, since they feel it’s a “fake economy” anyway
Comer: "This is a fake economy. You can't have 1/3 of America receiving some type of free government healthcare and then have another 1/3 that's getting a subsidized rate. That falls on the final 1/3 that's having to pay increased premiums."

11) The discussion about health care was useful PR, but covered up discussion over the power of the purse, which is fundamental. If the WH doesn't have to follow the law, it doesn't matter what you pass.

With the remaining approps bills + CR, Dems still could fight that fight. If they're smart
