Watching the world die from malignant economic growth.

Planet cancer.

Investing is a parasitic colonial practice adding the opposite of value, at any cost to the environment therefore society.

The resource-poor Nordics on the periphery are the most unsustainable capitalist nations in the world. They have among the highest total CO2 emissions per capita. They depend on superfluous international trade to avoid becoming humanitarian crises. Petrostate Norway's total per capita are insane.

Norway is officially one of the world's least self-sufficient nations due to its unfortunate geography (especially lack of arable land) and miserable climate. It lacks sufficient natural and human capital and must import almost everything it needs. A humanitarian crisis within months during war. 🤷‍♂️
October 24, 2025 at 5:51 AM
Total (including exported) CO2 per capita emissions from several years ago. I think it's even higher now.
October 24, 2025 at 5:29 AM
No, not like every other nation. E.g., most nations in Europe have something very valuable Norway lacks. Arable land and human capital to cultivate it during a state of national emergency. What little Norway has is mostly low quality/fodder. This heat map shows available arable land. Do the maths. 🤷‍♂️

Investing is a parasitic colonial practice that adds no value to society. Norway has a $trillion oil fund because its's a resource-poor petrostate with nothing to invest in in Norway. Poor by default of its unfortunate geography and miserable climate on the periphery. Sweden's not much better.
October 16, 2025 at 6:51 AM
Petrostate Norway's oil fund (filthy financial capital) alone adds no value to Norway's resource-poor extractive economy, which, by default of its unfortunate geography and miserable climate on the periphery, has by far the worst economy in Europe. Norway remains poor despite a $trillion oil fund.
October 16, 2025 at 5:26 AM
And it (labour shortages to work land) facilitated widespread rewilding which possibly lowered regional atm CO2 levels leading to the 'Little Ice age'. But it was a different kind of check on the population. Famine wasn't a problem in most of Europe, which had the natural capital for agriculture.
October 14, 2025 at 5:22 PM
Norway is a resource-poor petrostate constantly pushing PR. Up to its corrupt neck in toxic farmed salmon and itching to mine the seabed at any cost to humanity. Not just by far one of the highest total per capita CO2 emissions in the world and still investing mostly in oil and gas. 🖕🇳🇴

Poor Norway, lost on the periphery of civilisation with its unfortunate geography and miserable climate making it destitute by default, environmentally and socially. Clearly inspiration for the 1970 British horror film Trog. Not just Beowulf's orcs. As figured out by Greek and Roman surveys too.
October 14, 2025 at 6:31 AM
Norway is a great example how not to do things. It doesn't matter how much Norwegians like to believe they're better, Nordicism, because they're demonstrably worse off In most respects that matter. It's an inescapable reality of life on the periphery.
October 6, 2025 at 9:49 AM
Really?
October 3, 2025 at 6:33 PM
Did you audit/factcheck any of the data provided by Norway? They have a tendency to BS incessantly about how wonderful they consider themselves therefore massage and fog reality to appear consistent with Nordicism. A corrupt petrostate with by far one of the highest per capita total CO2 emmissions.
October 3, 2025 at 10:35 AM
Does GDP per capita translate into high incomes? Denmark and Norway have the world's highest household debt-to-income ratios. They rank 'rich' as nations but wealth inequity selects for consumption of 'cheap' processed animal products. Poor Norway has little arable land, mostly only good for fodder.
October 3, 2025 at 7:10 AM
Without imported animal feed, Norway isn't much more than 30% self sufficient. Norway lacks sufficient arable land making it poor by default. Do the economics properly. When imports stop, GDP and an oil fund aren't going to feed people in Norway. Nor will your obsession with flag-waving Nordicism. 🤷‍♂
September 30, 2025 at 7:56 AM
Norway claims incessantly to be an 'egalitarian society'. It's not. Wealth distribution is worse (less equitable) in Norway than most European nations. It's one of the most inequitable populations in Europe. Funding reading books for school children is 'too expensive' for school budgets.🤷‍♂️

It has everything to do with it. So far on the periphery it’s on an edge of human distribution in an unproductive marginal landscape not sufficient to support its populations. Humanitarian crises within months without imports.

This is ‘very special’:
September 10, 2025 at 11:20 PM
You really don’t get it. Why the Nordics have never been sources of transferable culture. It doesn’t get more on the periphery than this:

I didn’t attribute music to a region. You did. Let’s be honest - history tells us it wasn’t the Nordics regardless. Like almost everything, including Turkish meatballs.

But anyway, this is what the periphery looks like:
September 10, 2025 at 10:59 PM
It’s about food sustainability. Norway is officially the world’s least self-sufficient nation due to its unfortunate geography (e.g., lack of arable land/soil) and miserable climate. Arable land makes up <2% of Norway’s landscape. Most of that is very low quality and only suitable for fodder. 🤷‍♂️
