Nosferatu may be my movie of the year. Eggers so clearly loves the original movie and understands what makes it work, but also returns to Stoker’s Dracula to add to the story. As a long-time fangirl of the original, Eggers’s version was the perfect Christmas gift. 🖤

Happy Holidays! I hope everyone celebrating something (and everyone who isn’t) has been having a wonderful day. I’m seeing Nosferatu tonight with some of my family, so I’m dressing for the occasion. 🖤🥀

War of the Rohirrim was awesome. A lot less fantasy elements and heavier on human drama than LoTR and the Hobbit due to being set predominantly in Rohan, but it’s a great self-contained story that still sets up elements of the LoTR trilogy, and the animation is beautiful. 🖤

Home for Thanksgiving break, and this book was waiting for me! I’ve loved SD Simper’s romance novel retelling of Carmilla since I read it a couple years ago, so I eagerly backed the crowdfunding campaign for this illustrated hardcover several months back, and it turned out beautifully! 🖤
