Our analysis of Poland’s draft anti-SLAPP law is out. 🇵🇱

It includes vital mechanisms. But vague wording could make these protections ineffective in practice.

To truly shield those exposing abuse of power, the law must be stronger and decriminalise defamation.

In a rapidly changing world, safeguarding human rights in the digital realm is non-negotiable. At ARTICLE 19, we call on Meta to lead by example - implementing policies that protect freedom of expression, resist government overreach, and ensure accountability.
Mark Zuckerberg’s overhaul of Meta’s content moderation policies has little to do with protecting free speech.

The shift and its timing appear to be an attempt to carer to specific political interests - rather than a commitment to free expression.
