i think to understand the meaning of the birthright citizenship clause to the framers of the 14th amendment, you have to understand significance of dred scott to the civil war republican party. dred scott wasn't just a bad ruling, it was understood as a rejection of the declaration itself.

I would like to propose legislation where parents of children that die or infect another child due to not being vaccinated be charged with manslaughter. If they honestly believe what they preach then they should have nothing to worry about.

By the way, we’re gonna need to do this fast. Everybody in Silicon Valley with a clearance needs to piss in a cup within 48 hours of the new Democratic administration taking office.
A future D Secretary of Defense - should one ever come - will need to suspend the clearance of every last person affiliated with a16z, 8VC, Founders, & Sequoia and pull clearances from every portfolio company pending comprehensive drug testing, financial review, & CI screening.

It’s going to hurt.

I think it's fair to say that the excerpts I've seen of "American Canto" (the most pretentious title imaginable) are the worst published prose I've ever read. I can't think anything to rival them for sheer unembarrassed ghastliness.

I’ve now had multiple sources tell me the UK NHS is removing the CDC from its list of reliable sources.

Welcome to irrelevance.

The Constitution is very straightforward on birthright citizenship. There's no ambiguity in the language, no other plausible interpretation.

The fact that this is a public discussion at all, and that the Supreme Court is taking it up, is on its own anti-constitutional bullshit.

The Chief of Police in Minneapolis says their department won't help ICE and is telling residents to report ICE abductions to the police as kidnappings.

If you're from Minneapolis, you should be proud to have that kind of leadership.

To hell with the domestic terrorists known as ICE. 🖕🧊

This is the way, y’all—we protect each other, and we know it.

Some “healthcare” systems opposed laws requiring motorcyclists to wear helmets because they decreased the number of organs available for transplants.

Maybe they will support the proposed hepatitis B vaccine recommendation because it will increase demand…

Bad framing: ACIP voted to scrap the universal hepatitis B vaccine recommendation for newborns.

Accurate framing: Anti-vax conspiracy theorists appointed to ACIP by Robert Kennedy Jr., who made a fortune as an anti-vax profiteer, voted to expose babies to a preventable, incurable, deadly illness.
