Ok, then you have a much better clue than most.

However, my point still stands. Medical debt is a major driver behind bankruptcy in the US. It isn’t in russia. It’s still around 0%.

Note: even with insurance a single emergency room visit can easily cost you several thousand dollars if any serious work needs to be done.
December 5, 2025 at 1:40 PM
I don’t think you understand the scale of the problem here.

I’m not saying this is typical, but it is easily possible.
December 5, 2025 at 1:31 PM
And I say not really apples to apples because in the US medical costs contribute to or are the predominate reason for 2/3rds of individual bankruptcy filings.

In russia, along with most of the world, that number is approximately 0.

By way of comparison (not really apples to apples, I know), but the 138,800 individual court ordered bankruptcies in 2Q25 appears to be higher than the number of individual filed bankruptcies for the same period in the US.

The US population is roughly two and a half times larger, however.

Which shows an 80% increase in the number of people found “seriously” bankrupt by a court in 2Q25 vs 1Q23. That would be exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

Can’t wait for 2H numbers.

Currently blocked from accessing it…I’ll have to tackle it later.

Not the least of which is that while the state can’t pay the police, the mob can.
December 4, 2025 at 7:12 PM
Are there any statistics for the “serious” bankruptcies? Those over 500k rubles that don’t qualify for the simplified procedure?
December 4, 2025 at 7:10 PM
How long has bankruptcy been an option?
December 4, 2025 at 5:47 PM
Aren’t personal bankruptcies at an all time high?

And aren’t a large number of companies expecting to lay staff off next year?

Was commercial debt not collapsing fast enough for their liking?
December 4, 2025 at 2:16 PM
Of course they won’t. At the rate they’re REPO-bonding money, 4.4 trillion might soon be enough to pay for bus fare.

Bout damned time. Some of us were worried.

Just getting over a nasty bout with it, too. Hope you feel better soon!

What I think is more interesting is that the share of unprofitable oil and gas companies went from 38% to 48%. Before sanctions hit.
Except the Ukrainian direct ones.

And we’re seeing this already. Despite her protestations that “everything is fine,” the interest rate on new loans for businesses that are delinquent (11% of commercial loans) is 40% on Monday.

Failing businesses will struggle to get loans. Which is what they’ve been using to stay open.

As long as Siluanov the bank chairman is around to buy Siluanov the MinFin’s bonds with Nabiullina REPOing the funds, he can always buy bonds to fund the previous bonds’ payments.

But ballooning the money supply like that forces her to keep the key rate high.

Which will kill commercial debt.

Ok, I'm sorry, I'm going to have to ask for my money back.

Please refund my $0.00 to the account I sent it from originally.

Thank you.

You're doing amazing work for free. You don't owe us jack.

The explanation is appreciated, however. Just so we don't worry.
November 26, 2025 at 10:25 PM
Just in time for people to stop getting paid.

Now watch what happens when businesses stop getting loans, too.

Fortune-telling about one’s betrothed is a sign of black magic and Satanism. (Satanism is a movement recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).
November 24, 2025 at 11:22 PM
LOL. Real russians don’t steal anything by swapping it with something that costs money.

That’s how so many russian explosive contact armor bricks got swapped with … wood.
