RIP Tom Stoppard. I took a Tom Stoppard class at UNO when I was getting my masters in English and it was an unforgettable class. We read most of his plays and watched Shakespeare in Love, which he wrote, and which instantly became one of my top five movies of all time!

When deciding which games to get rid of from my collection, I used to ask myself “Am I going to play this again?” or “Was this a fun game?” Now I ask myself, “Would I flee the country with this one?”

I am absolutely delighted that Middle and Old English are preferred language options on this intake form. Time to bust out that Chaucer and Beowulf knowledge and give the English major translators some contract interpreter work!

Played The Gang 3 times. Looking for a new challenge, we tried "Silent Mode" where we couldn't audibly communicate unless required by an effect. We lost two games, then dropped the rule for a third game so we could end the evening on a win, lol. boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/41...

36 years ago on this date, friends of ours were there at the site when the Berlin Wall came down and sent my family this little artifact piece of it as a keepsake of Reunification. I've kept it all this time and thought I'd share it across my social media today just because it's interesting!

Played Roam on 2025-11-07. After having played this at various player counts now, I think it's a far superior game at 2P. 4P is too chaotic. 2P enables players to get more cards faster and actually use their artifacts in interesting tactical ways. boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/26... #bggplay
