Be assured, nothing that has happened over the last few days will improve this. In fact it is likely to be used as a brickbat to attack left wing views and LGBTQ+ issues even more. Personally, I would sack the lot of them, and reappoint on the basis of absolute impartiality from the ground up. 5/

.. for "balance" they were inevitably joined on panels by rabid trans-elimination cultists, and had to spend their time defending themselves, rather than addressing the confected hatred over the past 10 years. Trans voices were silenced by the BBC by policy, not chance. 4/

For instance, the BBC Action Line deliberately removed trans support organisations from their page in 2020, referring trans people to their GP instead. There was no talking to them. Leading trans experts started refusing to appear on current affairs programmes because... 3/

The way that "balance" was used as as an excuse for the airing of some truly vile and extremist views, including the grossest transphobia, even by their own staffers such as the swivel eyed Hannah Barnes. The moral pendulum truly lost its way. 2/

Hannah Barnes was allowed to run unchecked for years

It's certainly time that a woman took over, but preferably not a Tory – biased terfism cultist. However, since the board is stuffed full of Tories, I'm not holding my breath.

They are passing the problem on. I feel that winning one of those giant houses would become an absolute burden. After all, council tax still has to be paid.

Indeed. Cornhill was the nicer side of the dual carriageway. Northfield, on the other side, was a bit spicier :)
Not too far from Westburn Park, where me and my cousins would play when visiting our granny. I lived down the road, on Union Grove :)

My childhood friend lived on Oldcroft Place as well. Smaaaaall world. Mind you, wise move. You couldn't find a more anonymous area. :)

As an Aberdonian, the idea that you were living in Cornhill boggles the mind. :)

She lost her seat because she failed as an MP by becoming a terfolgy acolyte, hanging out with the worst of them, including R0wling.
Since the GRR vote at the Socttish parliament, it occupied her every waking moment, and still does. Transphobia loses votes. Some people still have that to learn.

He was clearly a transphobe.
His cult worshippers, like Ch3ery, are virulant transphobes.
His Alba party is specifically a home for transphobes.
Utter filth.

Salmond was my MP in the late 90's and his office was round the corner from me. I tried several times to arrange an appointment to talk to him about trans rights and he was never available. On the final occasion, his secretary said to me "Alex isn't interested in this subject".

Her Potter books were always problematic. Dumb, and racist, names, zero LGBT+ kids or adults at the school, men and boys centred most of the time. Outdated stories about kids at a boarding school for gods sake. The red flags were always there.

It's insidious and reprehensible. Age restrictions aren't being enforced either, I'm told. Gambling is a seriously addictive and dangerous habit. As they say, the house always wins.
