Mayor Eric Adams' press office just sent out a new statement in which he denies that he or anyone else ever offered a "trade of my authority as your mayor for an end to my case."

This is what the recently resigned acting Manhattan U.S. attorney said his defense team did.

There's a lot in this resignation letter from SDNY's Hagen Scotten, who took the lead in court proceedings in the case against Eric Adams, that packs a punch, including "it was never going to be me."

The whole thing is worth a read.

The City Council Common Sense Caucus just emerged from a meeting with immigration czar Tom Homan, in which they say he expressed that Mayor Adams is not doing what he promised on immigration.

Caucus wants an exec order getting rid of sanctuary city protections.

This line, in acting Deputy AG Emil Bove's memo telling federal prosecutors to drop corruption charges against Mayor Eric Adams, would seem to contradict the mayor's "stay focused, no distractions and grind" motto that he has said allows him to keep NYC running despite his legal woes.
