The new Supreme Court decision is a total DEFEAT of the Trump position that due process is not required or does not require a hearing before deportation. The unanimous Court says a pre-deprivation hearing IS required. That's the story, period, as the strategy was not to accord people a hearing.

very important and I've been hearing the same
I have been hearing from people that they have been having issues accessing their Social Security accounts. INSTEAD of going to a branch which may be hundreds or 1Ks+ of miles away from you, call your members of Congress. They have constituent services that will help you regain access. Please share!

Being adopted showed me the difference between having a father and having a dad. This poem about it was published in Last Stanza.

The photograph is me standing behind some of the print journals the poems have been in. People say I look like Danny DeVito but I don't see it.

Thanks for reading. :)

What’s more exciting to me as an editor than under 30 debut lists? A poet who returns with something exquisite after a decade of silence. Books that take years to discover their shape, not more-of-the-same sequels to best sellers. Poets who reinvent themselves because life has reinvented them.

His “cringeworthy press conference”…
After the Flight 5342 crash, it would've been easy for Trump to meet the moment.

But as his cringeworthy press conference helped prove, he just can't clear low bars. Every time Trump faces a leadership test in the wake of a crisis or disaster, he flunks. www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...
Following deadly plane crash, Trump flunks yet another test
Expectations were low ahead of the president's comments on the Flight 5342 crash. With his ugly and partisan rhetoric, Trump failed to clear a low bar.

Waving a Bible around is easier than cracking it open and actually reading it. Like the fetishization of hanging the Ten Commandments in classrooms, as you are breaking a lot of them in real life.

These images will stay with me: night all day, poetry falling out of people, HVACs convo 😊
contractor just called and we talked about this all-day storm squatting on our town. he said something like "it's been night all day now," and I know this makes me a huge poetry dork, but I love how poetry just falls out of ppl sometimes, never when you expect it, never in conversations about HVACs

Your monthly reminder:

Keep writing. When no one cares, persist. When things appear to be crumbling, keep at it. When it's difficult, push through. When you feel alone, listen to the stories in your blood. Just write. The world needs you to tell your truth through your words.
