Sometimes I look at my own Instagram grid and think wow, how lucky am I to have the means and access and ability to eat like this?! (I don’t spend a lot of money either, it’s mostly time and willingness and planning.)

Testing out the cast iron bread baker I got for Christmas: yes, good.

My plan was to grow snow peas and make all those recipes I have bookmarked which would otherwise be hideously expensive, failing to realise fresh snow peas are so damn delicious 90% of the crop is going straight into my mouth as I stand next to the plants. Still being enjoyed, but not as intended 🫠

This is Nutmeg, who joined our family today! She’s about a year old and has the most beautiful eyes. The SPCA described her as being very shy but she’s already friendly and smoochy with lots of purring and I think she’s going to be A Character 🥰

My little garden is getting going and checking on my leaves multiple times per day is one of my current main delights. (Full plan will be about twice this many pots, lots of seedlings are still coming along indoors.)

It should be illegal to make ramekins that look like they’re going to stack but don’t actually stack 😡
