Brooklyn born, NJ raised, Michigander for the last 48 years. Mom, grandma, reader, knitter & fibery things. Wondering how I wound up on a planet with so little intelligent life.
In honor of our democracy and #showmeyourknits, my Capital Dome Hat in Rowan Cashmerino. 🧶#NoKings

For #ShowMeYourKnits Shawl Week here is a shawl I made about 10 years ago. “Cassian” made of hand spun merino/silk. One of my favorites, I almost wore it out.

For #ShowMeYourKnits knitter's choice week I chose a Pi shawl of my own design, of yarn handspun by me, from some Jacob lamb fleece. I separated the colors of the fleece and spun them separately, then picked a few stitch patterns from the Barbara Walker books. One of my favorite projects. 🧶

My #WIP for #ShowMeYourKnits this week is this Flicker scarf, using Gusto Wools Carmen for a very cool planned pooling effect.

For #GarterStitch week on #ShowMeYourKnits, a felted bag I made a few years ago. Pattern is Garter Stripe Square Bag by Ishi-Knit. Squares attached as you go along so there is minimal sewing. Lined with some matching fabric, with a couple of pockets inside, and I found braided leather handles. 🧶

Rarely use much yellow in my knitting, but for #ShowMeYourKnits I present a sweater knit for my granddaughter a few years ago. "Cat Person" in Eco Baby Cotton. 🧶

I use this project as a “palate cleanser” between big projects. Collected my left-over fingering yarn, divided them into more or less darker and lighter tones, grab one of each, and knit striped mitred squares. Each afghan block is about 12”. 🧶

I made some socks this summer with Bamboo Pop and liked them very much for warm weather socks. Yes, not as springy as wool but better than cotton. Soft, cool, absorbent, and surprisingly stretchy.
