At the "3rd Forum National des Energies Renouvelables et de la Biodiversité" (Paris), I underlined that the transition to renewable energies should be addressed in the context of its impacts on, and linkages with biodiversity, water, food and health, following the @ipbes.net #Nexus Assessment.

Biodiversity is essential to our very existence, supporting our water and food supplies, our health and the stability of the climate. It was a pleasure to present the outcome of the @ipbes.net #Nexus Assessment to the Veolia Institute this past Saturday. Thank you @Dinah Louda for this invitation.

I was grateful for the opportunity to visit New York last week to brief ‌UN Member States on #IPBES and on the ‌IPBES #NexusAssessment as part of a ‌UNEP briefing hosted by Exec Director ‌Inger Andersen and Head of NY UNEP office Ligia Noronha. Thanks also to IPBES Chair David Obura for joining.
