That's good to hear. I'm sure your children are being fabulous. Children are amazing.

Yes, follow the money.....
It's also another example of the DFE throwing useless initiatives at an issue instead of actually addressing and owning a problem.

Oh my! That's horrendous. No wonder you are feeling low. I'm sending a virtual hug. Is there anything that I can do to support? Shall I write to the council? The diocese? Would that do anything ?

I hope you feel a bit lighter now. Why were you evacuated?

Brilliant!

I think that's probably not going to cause it. I hope you are feeling ok this morning and not too shaken and achy.

If there is any chance of whiplash, get anti inflammatory meds. It took mine a week to start hurting, it was really painful, my doctor said I should have started meds a week earlier. But I felt fine for a week.

I totally agree, Michael. I am also wondering what will happen to schools that currently run chargeable childcare breakfast clubs, with separate, properly paid staff (not just an extra job for school staff). Some schools rely on this funding stream to prop up their budget.

🤣 Years ago, when school's first got connected to the internet and filters weren't very good, my TA, making plans for the costumes for the Christmas play, typed "Roman helmets" into the search bar, pressed enter and got some very interesting results!

And you will never have enough funding to address the issues which have been left to schools to solve, despite them being issues for society. Sorry, I am not being very clear, but I feel so frustrated and angry on behalf of schools everywhere.

Your day yesterday sounds pretty usual for a head teacher in a challenging, socially deprived school. The strain on you and your staff is never acknowledged or recognised.

You are not losing perspective. There are huge issues. Things are imploding and those in power think throwing targets and OFSTED labels at schools is some kind of solution.
And yes, lots of families are fine, but life is getting tougher for everyone.

Oh ok! I've seen the next post. What an amazing gift?!
