The tones of brown and beiges on the perennial seedheads and grasses in the paradise garden at RHS Bridgewater today. Looking a bit other worldly in the mist and murk in Salford.

So Pennington Flash #parkrun was cancelled this morning and I think I can see why! Walked there instead along the canal, which was well and truly frozen.

Love how the frost crystallized the cobwebs and seedheads. An even colder night last night. Hoping we get a bit of a thaw today 🙏

I needed some colour this morning after all the grey days. A vibrant posy with Zinnia 'Mammoth' and 'Purple Prince', Rudbeckia 'Marmalade', Helianthus 'Lemon Queen', Larkspur 'Imperials' and Salvia 'Oxford Blue'.

Another wild and windy weekend here but finally some calm this morning. First of the Hellebores in flower when I sneaked out between showers. So lovely to see them shining out in the depths of winter.

Proper waves on Pennington Flash today! Still felt dark this morning before the start of #parkrun but thankfully will start getting lighter again in the mornings. Treated ourselves to coffee and pastries in the hide cafe afterwards. Mallards hoping for some treats too.

Rosa 'Koko Loco' for #rosewednesday which I keep forgetting about posting. A beauty, though not the most floriferous rose but you just get addicted to taking photos of it when its in flower.

I love the hardy Geraniums and have many in my garden, here are just a few of my favourites. Geranium 'Blue Cloud', Geranium x magnificum, Geranium 'Red Admiral' and Geranium himalayense 'Derrick Cook'. They just add lots of colour and many flower for ages.

My garden flower display has had a winter makeover using all the leftover clippings from making my wreaths.
