⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for #AThousandBlows which opens on #DisneyPlus this Friday & is inspired by my daughter Sarah 's fighting blog www.grapplingwithhistory.com.
Her tale of #HezekiahMoscow was seen by Hannah Walters & #StephenGraham, who saw his potential for TV and the rest, as they say, is history. Don't miss!

I've said it before & I'll say it again: @oispooky.bsky.social is one of the most underrated public historians out there! Her work on Victorian wrestlers and boxers is fascinating. I can spend hours on her blog. She is also a historical consultant on the TV series #AThousandBlows. Give her a follow!
What are the chances that an unmarried, childless, Jamaican former sailor stabbed and murdered in his squalid Whitechapel boarding house in 1885 got a gravestone we can still find and read today?

Never underestimate the 1880s East End boxing fraternity!

Gutted. Was hoping to see my favourite comics - #Bradley_Walsh, #Joe_Pasquale, #Brian_Conley & #Shane_Richie - in their #ThePratPack show.
But the whole tour sold instantly - mostly to #Ticketmaster.
Fans missed out despite going online seconds after tix were released.
Scandalous & shameful.

Moved to #Frinton #Essex just eight weeks ago and loving the beachside vibe. Nothing better for clearing out the cobwebs & forgetting your troubles than walking along a blissfully gorgeous beach or exploring #essexwildlifetrust #TheNaze - even in November.

New weekend research from me 🥊🛎️

Part I of Albert Pearce's story. A Black man from Chicago, a competitive walker and cyclist, who sailed to Newcastle then moved to London, boxed, married an English woman, boxed more, lost a lot, then lost his vision:
