I was cleaning out some old boxes today and came upon one that had political magazines and memorabilia I have kept. For some reason I hung onto this Time Magazine from December 2000. I had to sit down.

Today @jbpritzker.bsky.social endorsed one of my favorite people for the US Senate - @julianastratton.bsky.social. There are a lot of great policy reasons to vote for her - but I’ve gotten to know her personally over the last 8 years. If JB is a happy warrior - Juliana is a joyful one.

Here’s the problem for Hapless Elegy over here and the GOP. They had a political advantage on the immigration issue. They are squandering that advantage by terrorizing innocent people. And the smart GOP operatives know it. The more they dig in the worse this gets for them.

People are literally evacuating from a catastrophic fire in California right now. This is why trying to “work with Trump” when you have to run a state is virtually impossible. This is unconscionable.
