...also, this might just be cos of the songs being streamed, but I haven't dialed in the latency calibration perfectly yet in Festival. It's close enough, but Rock Band 4's automatic sync gets it perfect most every time I use it. It's frustrating!

Fortnite Festival has some pretty decent tracks in its rotation, and I'm glad it's not strictly a guitar band game like Rock Band was obliged to be, but also... man, it does not have the same hit to mid ratio as Rock Band, not by a long shot.

Rock Band 4 has especially great gig ambience, and it's equally kinaesthetically satisfying! Fortnite Festival is so sterile and lifeless in comparison, despite being just about mechanically identical.

I play music professionally (including in rock bands that play songs that are in Rock Band) and I have never felt as cool or impressive playing real keyboards live on-stage as I do playing fake half-scale guitar peripherals on my couch
