In better news, thanks to @hugogordon.bsky.social for perking me up earlier with news that Cardiff are currently top of the URC! A small amount of joy from the binfire that is Welsh rugby today

Honestly, there is no better rugby writer out there than @bloodandmud.bsky.social. This preamble is a work of art. #WALvRSA

Has anyone ever sent their cut in half driving licence back to the DVLA? Doesn't everyone just chuck them in a drawer with old passports etc?

Sigh.

Saw that America's Next Top Model was on E4 and thought I'd go back down memory lane.

In season 16, this woman was called 'curly and curvy'. I think, for the sake of not triggering my ED, I should mot be watching this.

Perfect, each and every one of them

Instead of listening to terrible TNT comms, you could just read the amazing live blog from @bloodandmud.bsky.social over on the Guardian.

'The persistence of this song for nearly three decades is one of the reasons I would welcome the asteroid.'

I cannot imagine the level of chutzpah that it takes for a man who has caused the death and misery of trans kids to post about other adults bullying kids. Take a look in the mirror before you criticise others Wes.

Back to my original point, where i live in London we have a *huge* outdoor market with many fruit and veg stalls where you get a bowl of a specific sort of thing for £1. But unless you want to eat all of that raw, it's not a meal. You also have to be not working during market hours to get there.
November 9, 2025 at 12:56 AM
Maybe slightly more than that actually, it's a small portion, but this is one of the places close to me. Almost all the places locally do a meal (burger, chips, soda) for under £5.

Also, the Theatr Cymru production of Romeo a Juliet at the Globe was seriously life changing today. A bilingual performance that had the Montagues speaking Cymraeg and the Capulets speaking English (mostly). Incredible to see such a traditionally English play performed in Cymraeg, in London.

I feel this deep in my soul.

There are many reasons to shop from indie bookshops, but @biggreenbooks.bsky.social always get me new books even before they're officially released! So happy to come back to this beauty last night.

I got to see a violet carpenter bee today, and I am now in love with these not so little goth bees!

Look, I'm not one to criticise experimental cooking. I once made a pickled cucumber martini (it was bad). But when I order an apple pie, I expect pastry and apples. Not a crumble cake with almost no apple in it.

Yes yes, I know this isn’t a real problem!

My local bakery has started doing pastries and this weekend their savoury option is a cheese, leek, and mustard swirl. It is absolutely *delicious*.

I know autumn is here because the cat now wants to sleep on my bed at night again.

I am fascinated as to what an 'amorous gesture' by a hotel might be.

This was posted under a story about the Manchester attack where two Jewish people were murdered and 4 others seriously injured.

This has been a very, very common response to speaking about antisemitism or Jewish struggles for a long time.
