I definitely was watching reruns of TOS young enough that I remember having a nightmare about the salt vampires and the monster in my closet was a Horta. I remember being bored by the first Trek movie in the theater when it came out (understandable for an 8-year-old).

We did not use that script when we did our postcards, we either used the “ask your friends and family to vote” or “make a plan to vote” ones.

Back in my working at the dorm cafeteria days we loaded them into the dispenser and (I think) cut the tip open. The dispenser was basically a gravity feed with a clamp holding the tube closed that released when you pushed down the lever.
