I worked in the NHS for 40 years, so am fully aware of the structure and excess bureaucracy. I worked directly with consultants, nurses, admin staff and patients, so not ill informed. Apologies, this is my opinion from experience.

NHS England is an unnecessary additional layer, which needed reform. There are too many organisations monitoring the NHS and duplicating work. Long overdue
