Thoughts on the Supreme Court’s approach in the cases of Ranveer Allahbadia and Dr Sunil Kumar Singh and what it says about Indian free speech doctrine. I show how the Court’s approach is questionable on many grounds as it prefaces judicial paternalism and moral populism in decision making.
The Indian Supreme Court 🇮🇳 recently decided two free speech cases—one involving a podcaster, the other a legislator from Bihar's Legislative Council.
