"Confused" American

William L. White (the son of the redoubtable William Allen White of Emporia, Kansas) on a listening tour in Europe, told in a recent article what a young German he met on the train bound for Berlin thought of the United States.

The German had travelled in America for

Maxwell said she "didn't see him getting a massage", which technically could be true even if she knew of other stuff. The question was pretty specific.

But the "anything inappropriate to a masseuse on anybody" is like the "I never recruited anybody from maralago""can't recollect"... questionable.

Well, it was a hit job to intimidate the paper. I am still livid that the magistrate judge who signed the phoney search warrant was not disciplined.

WTF, that is ridiculous.
Also, not to forget its health attributes (also a superfood), which is why one can buy hemp seeds for salad or gluten-free bread in Europe (Netherlands, Germany, etc.)

But not in the UK, because they are equally idiotic as the US.

In the slightly less than a hundred years from 1898 to 1994, the U.S. government has intervened successfully to change governments in Latin America a total of at least 41 times. That amounts to once every 28 months for an entire century (see graph).

Nono, weddings.
Malle seems to love those, the hyper the better.

They might push content on teens that trad wife life is good.

She might be a "proud nepo baby, " but she does whatever brings the most money. An opportunist without taste or morals, the worst journalist type

That's from Joanna Maciejewka:

"You know what the biggest problem with pushing all-things-AI is? Wrong direction.
I want AI to do my laundry and dishes so that I can do art and writing, not for AI to do my art and writing so that I can do my laundry and dishes."

I meant that 20% of those who came to vote for SGP in 2025, the largest group, were not-voting-in-2023 folks, and the rest were trickling in from other (left or right) parties.

Great stuff. I was hunting for such a housing-income-civics analysis.

Key points:
- Longer tenancy in a community increases civic participation, though low-income kills energy.
- Disengagement is another negative consequence of disenfranchisement, housing instability, and displacement.

Admittedly inconclusive research on a single PA county.

Analysis eliminated factors like gerrymandering as an external effect on civic participation of the already most marginalised folks. (poor, Blacks, women, etc.)

Former GOP redistricting maps notoriously gerrymandered today’s PA reality.

Anyone caught a better read of the purple (domestic violence awareness) ribbon on the silver Suburban?

That is a bit too much on the nose.

Bannon and Sunak, BIG FUCKING NO.

Nobody needs a drunk hobgoblin's idea for EU. He can go back to his lair. And Sunak. Lmao.

What a normalising of the far-right mouthpiece, you have become.

Time to cancel my sub. Pity can only do once.

I love Rob Martinez’s food diary—he brings amazing places and people to the forefront.

This one stood out for several reasons.
Especially in contrast to the current US policy on immigration and asylum.
