I'm sharing a lot of sad stuff - here's a photo of my cat as apology. Here she has stolen my office chair and is about to whine when I try and move her. This scene happens on a daily basis. Despite the fact I have LOTS of places for her to sleep in the office, and the rest of the house.

It’s nice that they based this on the well-known thing in soccer where everybody puts their hands on the ball at the same time.

Wildlife tracking! I'm reposting things I made this past year. If you look closely at the deer tracks you'll see I added the hint that they're double registering (hind foot is stepping into the same spot as front foot).

This is an accidentally honest answer. What she's saying in code is:
"The President is a misogynist, petulant bully. You've all seen him be a misogynist, petulant bully. And lots of voters out there are also misogynist or petulant or bullies and that's why they like him."
Q: What did the president mean when he called a reporter "piggy"?

LEAVITT: Look, the president is very frank & honest with everyone in this room. You'll all seen it yourself. You've all experienced it yourselves. And I think it's one of the many reasons the American people reelected this president

This will surely surprise most Americans today, but historians have recently discovered that before Donald Trump, it was actually incredibly rare for a president to demand the public execution of this political opponents and press critics.

I lived in Wichita and we all watched it - classmates in high school - and it was weird and surreal. Did not traumatize me, but definitely changed the way I thought about surviving a nuclear war. And seeing recreations of the destruction of places I lived in/near was different than imagining it.
Tonight in 1983, more than 100 million Americans saw multiple thermonuclear weapons destroy Kansas City, Missouri, in “The Day After” on ABC. A.C. Nielsen Company reported that 62 percent of television sets that night were tuned to the film. I watched in my packed college dorm lounge. How about you?

My family moved to Nashville from Kansas City a few years before this. I was 7 when we left, so I didn't remember a lot about the city, but my older sisters did and the scenes of it being destroyed freaked them the hell out.

The President of the United States just called for Democratic members of Congress to be executed. "HANG THEM", he posted.

If you're a person of influence in this country and you haven't picked a side, maybe now would be the time to pick a fucking side.

Trump's rants against Democrats have inspired everything from death threats and pipe bombs to the January 6th assault on the Capitol.

This is a time to take him literally and seriously.
Important: House Dem leaders just said Trump's call for execution of Dems has prompted them to contact US Capitol Police and House Sergeant at Arms to "ensure the safety of these members and their families."

Treat Trump like an unhinged menace. He's weak and in deep political trouble. Don't let up.

This is a really good point but I feel professional reporters are still operating within "The baseline is human decency" parameters and don't know what to do when the actual real POTUS verbally kicks them in the fork.
I will counter that I expect journalists to be ready to respond to any answer given -- including an insult. And this means that the other reporters could have asked, "By insulting our colleague, does this mean you don't have an actual answer to the question?"

TRUMP: “Quiet. Quiet, Piggy.” 😕
