As a member of the select few who actually fill in/sign pediatric death certificates, I want to make one thing CRYSTAL CLEAR.
Any sane PICU attending would write:
“Cause of death: pneumonia Secondary to measles.”
We have suffered 2 pediatric deaths. How many more need to die for people to SPEAK UP?!

She has made it her life’s mission to focus on luxury problems while ignoring the reality of MOST Americans in the US who can’t afford a carton of eggs.

Amid dropping vaccination rates, 25 children in New York State died from influenza during the 2024-25 flu season — more than in any recent flu season, state health authorities said on Wednesday.

I am a PICU attending who cares for children receiving life saving therapies through clinical trials. Frequently, the therapies are ONLY available through NIH funded clinical trials. The loss of life secondary to study closures is not just theoretical, it is measurable - the data never lies. #medsky

I wrote my first SBM article 4 years ago about how Vinay Prasad hid vital facts to encourage unvaccinated kids to get Covid, just before the delta variant arrived.

Now he’s in charge.

Should COVID-19 vaccines be administered to children under an emergency use authorization?
Recently, Wesley Pegden, Vinay Prasad, and Stefan Baral argued in The BMJ that "COVID-19 vaccines for children should not get emergency use authorization". Their argument is lacking, and they left out

Temple Grandin is an autistic scientist who revolutionized the cattle industry through her powerful observations of animal behavior. She was just named Woman of the Year by USA Today!

Her story is extremely relevant today in light of attacks on autistic people and animal research.

Camps. They’re building camps.

Whoever it starts with is not who it will end with. These will be big infrastructure and employment projects, a gaping maw that will need more and more souls to feed upon.

Never again is now.

They are LITERALLY kidnapping children/families off the streets. If this doesn’t completely disgust you, you need to take a good look in the mirror and ask yourself if your reaction would be different if this was a Caucasian family who was abducted.

The country would be in a standstill.

KEEP CALLING. PEEL OFF ALL DEM SENATORS YOU CAN.

☎️: (202) 224-3121

Tell them to vote NO on Cloture and NO on CR. Vote is pushed to after 1:15ish for now. Situation is fluid.

The only public YES votes are Schumer and Fetterman. They need 7-8 total. KEEP CALLING.

Call retiring Senators too!

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable.

Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

Another case of a Canadian being detained by ICE.
US Customs and Border Patrol at YVR involved here.

It seems that transfers to ICE for profit facilities in different states to make it harder for detainees to secure legal representation are now standard policy.
