The actual work that needs to be done is preventing me from stopping and remapping hotkeys. Multiply that x Vegas, Blender, Krita, Asesprite, Unity, iClone and other apps Im using this week and you've got a pretty big timesink.

No defense of this creepy shit, the weirdos behind or the research they did but we did have LCD handheld games in the 80s before the Gameboy. Each game was its own console.

Quite simply, they had no meaningful competition 10-20 years ago. Now they do. It is easier to succeed with less competition.
