Some of what Trump is attempting to do is unlawful, but some of his shadier maneuvers will likely be supported by the courts. SCOTUS is on his side. I don't say this to discourage people, but as a reminder that the law cannot be our bottom line. Our obligation is to each other, not the law.

If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it.
Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice.
But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word.

I checked with my coworker who did a stretch and he said ABSOLUTELY it is sending a message, not just to the jailers but to the receiving people so they understand he's to be taken care of at MDC too. The equivalent of a kite made out of hair, he said.
