The AppStore Connect part of these recent macOS app updates was done using Helm for iOS and macOS. The experience was really pleasant.

Do others face messengers they wish stayed green?
Which ones? MS Teams and Skype for Business are on my current list.

I'm working on mobile devices and not always touching the mouse and keyboard. I want my presence to be shown as green as in "available" anyway.

Coca 1.3.0 and Eidetic 1.0.5 are in review now.

Lately I'm working with Apples Vision api. Scanning German driving licenses for example without pricey or foreign SDKs is rewarding. I wonder what approaches others use, mine could be described as stencil method, knowing what is where and combining multiple request types.

A friend and I are about to start a little hackathon working on an idea we had. He will focus on backend while I will do the app. Pizza will be served of course! 🍕

I'm really stoked about the topic. More soon! 👛

To get ready for releasing Coca 1.3 New screenshots are needed, for this I read up on the best options.

An app I enjoyed right away is Vanilla for macOS, it allows you to clean the desktop and menu bar icons real quick.

Eidetic is also receiving some attention with accent color! It's such a delightful little touch. ✂️

Today I added an accent color to Coca, it is a nice little touch ahead of bigger UI changes. 🍃

Coca 1.3 is getting ready, can't wait too ship it soon!

- Updated icons
- Improved stability
- Fixed some bugs

Reviving my old projects with new life feels right. I was suprised too see so many people still using them.

There was also a leak fixed in the way I checked for the connection and disconnetion of charges to a Mac!

Components are a thing as well now. :)

Working on Coca is fun:

- Launch at login working again ✅
- Settings window is not showing unasked anymore ✅
- Icon composer is used in the project ✅

I'm contemplating making a small release with these changed or reworking the Settings UI and interval select for a bigger update.

In the business of keeping your Mac awake, if you can call it that, there is plenty of alternatives. Today even more so than back in the day. What could differentiate my Coca leaf from the Coffee or Amphetamin based neighbours? The substance name arms race is real in this niche btw.

So my app Coca is a little menu bar helper. It keeps your Mac awake with one click.

One of the first software projects I ever did. It is small and does not have a ton of features, but it was polished for Yosemite.

Sorry for the old ass website:

Today I played around with Icon Composer a bit, pretty decent so far.

This could be a new icon for my app Coca using liquid glas.

Using modern Xcode 26 with an LLM made the task certainly a little less daunting.

Back then most of the code was just written in one file, rookie mistake haha. Bringing structure was suprisingly easy with some LLM help.

We will see, I will be cleaning up and fixing ancienct bugs soon.

I opened an old codebase of mine, almost 10 years since inception. It still compiles!

I fixed all four warnings and started trying to understand what it was, 10 years ago, that kept me focused at night on this.

The wintergarden was flooded the other day, so I had to remove all the furniture and retro gaming stuff. 😭

At least I can continue my Fallout 3 run in the living room for the time beeing.
