The sun shone, the birds sang 'thank heavens it's a dry day' at Kidwelly Quay. Plenty of snipe, a few thousand golden plover, lots of lapwing and redwing too. They too must be fed up with all the rain #snipe #goldenplover #lapwing #redwing #CarmsBirds #BirdingWales

Still struggling to find the snow bunting on my patch but did find the northern wheatear. It was happily feeding on worms amongst the cow pats in the paddock. It does have a poorly right foot though #NorthernWheatear #Wheatear #CarmsBirds #PembreyBurrows #ThatsALateOne #BirdingWales

Had a lovely walk through @northcavewet.bsky.social North Cave Wetlands today, not many little birds about, must have been all that wind. Nice to see 33 curlews, whooper swan, lots of ducks and highland cows

A gathering with the Carmarthen Bird Club at Kidwelly Quay today turned up two grey phalarope & we watched an osprey catch a fish, but too distant for photos. Managed to dodge the showers though. Tide was very high for much else #KidwellyQuay #CarmsBirds #GreyPhalarope #BirdingWales

Came across a manx shearwater stranded in a field this evening whilst I walked Lily & Tucker.@berniebeck.bsky.social was nearby with a box that he used to rescue it. Hopefully it will released soon & be able to head home to South America
