this is the exterior of a fillet minon that has been seared and bathed in garlic butter. I was going to take a picture of the inside cut but then I accidentally ate it and then immediately ate the rest of the fillet in a wild state of need and desire. It's kinda interesting that I can put a longer post in the alt text than that actual posting. Like I am still allowed to have 1600 more characters..

the client preferred the character to be leaning backward against probably more, so i went for another dead on angle, the character now seated with legs extending toward the viewer, leaned back on the fallen log, with an elbow braced on it as she cleans her fingernails with a utilitarian hunting knife. there will be a campfire just on the edge of the piece, her rifle leaning on the log beside her, and a small tent in the background.

getting a feel for the client's character, knife, slung rifle, leaning backward against probably a fence. just toying around with her, getting ideas. lil mannequin drawing in the upper right with little to no detail. just getting an idea of proportions for her. she's gonna have a cowboy hat,button up shirt, tank top, denim pants, knife holster on the right hip, scar through her lips, and a ponytail. a rough and tumble badass. i decided to sketch her aiming down a winchester, but something was off. wide stance in her legs, but i messed up some positioning, sooo realized the bracing shoulder should be behind the shoulder supporting the front of the rifle. she is aiming in the same position so that we can still see the distinctive scar through her lips. but it is pretty flat, and not very dynamic. i'm trying to keep a full body piece rather than a bust or something, and i often resort to a dead-on standing character... the client suggested something with more of a relaxed motif. and i decided to try a high angle shot looking down at her as she is cleaning her nails with a knife.she would be seated on a downed log, her rifle leaning up against it beside her. there is a disembodied head because initially i was thinking of a lower angle shot, but decided i wanted to go high, instead.
