This kitten might be one of my favourite things I've ever created 😂

I sometimes toy with the idea of putting the Christmas tree up and never ever taking it down, because I was never good at dealing with the de-Christmasing operations - I guess I'd need an artificial tree for that though 😅

I had no idea some people were so private about their media 🥲 I'm glad not everyone is though: when I got started with watercolour, I heavily relied on other artists' advice on which materials to use!

I actually like the darkness but it always makes me happy when I think that as wintery as January may feel, we are now heading towards spring 😊 I also find that this is a perfect time for reflecting on the past year. I usually do lots of Tarot readings around Christmas/New Year ✨️ Happy Yule!

And, it makes me wonder who the readers on Substack are. I am one, but what do we all have in common? I think loving to read and being chronically online are two necessary factors, but by they are not enough by themselves, I guess

I mean, I get it that maybe not everyone reads newsletters, but all the people I've been talking to are people with a solid education and, most importantly, who love reading. Plud, given that everyone and their sister have a newsletter nowadays, I'm really surprised.

Ohh I remember that! I worked as an Assistant Teacher at a Secondary College in Melbourne for some time, and I remember having that brand of instant coffee during breaks in the teachers' room 🥺
